🏛 Rebecca – Greeter in Rome, Italy
Short Bio
Ciao! I’m Rebecca, an Italian girl from Rome—the city I love and adore with all my heart. “The Eternal City” (as we call it) holds a special place in every Roman’s soul. We share a deep connection with it: one that fills us with pride when visitors come, and with nostalgia when we’re far away.
I feel this connection deeply too, and I get genuinely excited whenever I see people’s reactions to one of the most breathtaking and majestic cities in the world.
I’m so grateful I get to experience this every day, both on my own and alongside women from all around the globe.
A little about me: I’m almost 22 and currently studying law at the largest university in Rome, a place full of life and students from all kinds of backgrounds. Being around so many people brings me joy—I love hearing about other lives and cultures.
But sometimes, I feel a bit overwhelmed… kind of like the city itself: full of energy and chaos. Yet Rome also has a way of helping you reconnect with yourself and discover parts of you that you didn’t even know were there.
I’d say I’m an easygoing person who loves to chat about pretty much everything—especially about culture and everyday life in different corners of the world, which can sometimes feel so far away. I also enjoy art, beautiful monuments, and museums.
But above all, I truly love my city. And the thought that all these amazing women will return to their countries and tell their friends and families how timeless, stunning, and unforgettable Rome was for them… fills me with joy.
What inspired you to become a Greeter?
I think being a Greether is one of the most amazing opportunities I’ve ever had. I feel so inspired and motivated to have a job that allows me to balance my life as a student and as a young adult.
This incredible program has such a beautiful and unique community, with values that immediately drew me in.
I get to meet incredible, passionate women—people I probably would have never crossed paths with in my everyday life—and I have the chance to share a part of my world with them.
I also get to practice my English and learn so much about other cultures, which I love. At the same time, I’m happy to help them feel safe and welcomed.

What do you love most about showing women around Rome?
I love showing people how incredible Rome is—how full of life and culture it is—but also how it can make you feel both special and at peace at the same time.
I want everyone to feel what I feel every day. I want them to feel truly welcomed and to experience the romantic side of this city, like in a nostalgic Italian movie from the 1950s.
I want them to discover things only locals know, and visit places they’ll be excited to brag about to their friends and family—ahahah!
There’s something magical about watching someone fall in love with Rome for the first time—the way their eyes light up when they see the magnificent Colosseum, or when they stroll in a quiet square.
I will always try to accommodate your wishes, from just visiting all the must-see for the first time to have a nice and quiet walk in secret and hidden gems!
Favorite hidden gem:
My favorite local spot in Rome is any quiet corner of the Trastevere neighborhood, gently lit by the afternoon sun. I love the slow pace of life there, with its little bars where old men gather to play cards with friends.
But I also enjoy the vibrant nightlife of the Prati neighborhood, with its elegant, classical buildings and stylish, sophisticated bars where you can relax and listen to good music.
And when I need to clear my mind or just take a breath, I love going to places like the Giardino degli Aranci or the Gianicolo Hill. The views from up there are simply unforgettable—Rome stretches out in front of you like a dream, with its domes, rooftops, and ancient ruins.

Memorable moment with a traveler:
One of my favorite moments was when we strolled through Trastevere and my traveler suddenly stopped in awe, struck by the calm and serenity that surrounded us, a stark contrast to the bustling Piazza Venezia where we first met. She was visibly impressed by the sight of the low-rise buildings and lush climbing plants, and fell completely silent, taking it all in. I felt overjoyed seeing her appreciate something so simple yet so meaningful to me.
Tip for first-time visitors:
To my fellow women visiting Rome for the first time, I'd offer one piece of advice: be curious and open-minded. Get lost in the city's charming streets, indulge in all that Rome has to offer, and eat and walk as much as you can. Take advantage of the affordable and convenient public transportation system, which can take you almost anywhere. However, as with any big city, be mindful of your belongings and wary of tourist traps. I'd be happy to share tips on which areas to avoid. Despite its chaotic nature, Rome is actually a very safe city, with a strong police and military presence.

Hi! I have been living in Porto since 2022. I travel a lot, I have visited more than 30 countries at the moment. I am a psychologist and I work with the topic of relationships, with couples, with individual clients. I dance the tango, vintage shops and love meeting new people. I like my city of Porto and I know interesting places in the city and I can show you all the cool things, for example, the best pate da nata in the city. Where to eat with ocean view and enjoy the beautiful view. I speak Russian, English and a little Portuguese.
What inspired you to become a Greeter?
I travel a lot myself and receive guests at my home. And I understand how important and pleasant it is when there is a woman who will meet you. With whom it is safe and fun to walk around a new city and feel it. Enjoy the city, get new impressions.
Ziyada & female travelers in Porto
What do you love most about showing women around Porto?
I like the Ribeira area. This is the very center of the city. There are places for locals to suit all tastes and budgets, where they are inexpensive, Michelin-starred, local places. I like the peacock park - Jardins do Palácio de Cristal, the oceanfront area - Matosinhos.
Favorite hidden gem:
I like Foz do Douro. And a promenade along the ocean, especially in pleasant weather, is an unforgettable experience - walking along the ocean and listening to the waves, taking coffee or wine. I think this is the pearl of the city. I'll be happy to show you this place.
Memorable moment with a traveler:
There was a pleasant moment when we had dinner with a girl with whom we walked around the city for several hours. And it was nice to hear that she liked the city and we chatted so casually about what she saw today. And we were sitting in a beautiful restaurant on the banks of the Duoro River. And we ate Portuguese food.

💖Francie, Greeter in Paris
Short bio
I’m Francie, a true Parisienne, born and raised in one of Paris’s most elegant districts. I practice cardiofit during my free time. But what I like the most is helping women experiencing the graceful side of Paris. After living abroad and traveling the world, I’m fluent in English, making our time together feel like an afternoon with a good friend — swapping stories, sharing tips, and diving into the unfiltered details of Parisian life.
Paris is my endless source of inspiration, and I’m passionate about sharing its hidden gems — from tucked-away cafés to secret gardens. My mission is to show you the authentic Paris, where true elegance is lived every day, not shouted about. Let me show you a side of the city you won’t find in any guidebook.
What inspired you to become a Greeter?
In a way, I’ve been a Greeter long before I ever gave it a name! Over the years, friends kept sending me their friends — especially women travelling solo — asking if I could help them plan their trip to Paris, show them around, or even take them shopping for something special. It all started quite naturally: a coffee here, a walk there, sharing my favourite hidden spots and local tips just like you would with a good friend.
I’m also active on Instagram and over time, women started reaching out for friendly recommendations, secret addresses, and advice to make their Paris experience feel more personal and authentic.
It resonated with me deeply because I’ve travelled solo quite a bit myself, sometimes for work in far-off countries. After long days, I often wished there had been a local to show me the real spirit of the place — a few beautiful corners, a few simple habits — when I only had a few hours to spare.
Becoming a Greeter felt like the natural way to share the Paris I love — with warmth, authenticity, and a touch of everyday elegance.

What do you love most about showing women around your city?
What I love most is seeing Paris through their eyes — that little sparkle when they discover something unexpected, something beautiful they wouldn’t have found on their own.
In the 7th, the Eiffel Tower is always a highlight, of course, but I also love showing them the hidden side of the neighbourhood — like the quiet cafés where locals linger, the charming boutiques tucked down side streets, or the peaceful parks where families relax.
It’s about letting them see the everyday Paris, the one that’s a bit quieter, a bit more personal. Helping them feel like they’re not just tourists but part of the real Parisian life, even for just a little while. That’s the best part for me.
Favorite hidden gem in Paris:
There are so many places in Paris that I love, but if I had to choose, I’d always go for the Paris village life in the west — it’s quiet, charming, and full of hidden cafés, little shops, and boutiques that give you a real sense of local Paris.
As for the elegant side of Paris, I adore the beautiful hotels and mansions that give the city that magical touch. These are places most people don’t get to experience, but that’s exactly why I love showing my guests around. It’s not about feeling out of place — it’s about stepping into these stunning spots and feeling completely at ease, as if you belong.
And the best part? You don’t need to break the bank to enjoy it. You can indulge in that “art de vivre” without spending a fortune. That’s where I come in — making sure you get to experience the true Parisian elegance in the most relaxed way possible.

Memorable moment with a traveler:
One of my most memorable moments was with a solo traveler who was visiting Paris for the first time. She had always dreamed of coming here but felt a bit nervous about navigating the city on her own. We spent the afternoon strolling through the quieter, more local parts of Paris, and then ended up at the Jardins du Luxembourg.
As we walked through the gardens, we found a peaceful spot to sit and take in the beauty around us. She turned to me and said, “I feel like I’m experiencing Paris the way a local would. It feels like this part of the city is just mine for the moment.”
It was such a simple yet powerful moment. For her, it was exactly what she had imagined — discovering a calm, more intimate side of Paris, away from the usual crowds. That’s the kind of magic I love to share — the moments that make Paris feel personal and special.
Tip for first-time visitors:
Don’t stress about seeing all the monuments! Paris is so much more than the famous sights. It’s about wandering around, soaking in the charm, and taking your time. Skip the rush — stroll through the neighbourhoods, pop into a cute café, or wander down a quiet street you’ve never heard of. You’ll discover the heart of Paris in places like that, not just at the big landmarks.
I promise you’ll fall in love with Paris — and when you get home, you’ll have the best souvenirs, the most beautiful stories, and maybe even learn how to knot a scarf like a true Parisian. It’s that je ne sais quoi that makes Paris unforgettable.
In the end, Paris isn’t just a recitation of famous monuments; it’s much more than that. It’s about the little moments, the hidden gems, and the way the city makes you feel. And if you ever need help, I’m here to make sure you experience all of that magic.
Why Greether?
Greether is perfect for women because it’s all about feeling safe, feeling seen, and feeling like you truly belong in a new city. It’s not just about sightseeing. It’s about connecting with a local woman who shares her city with you — its hidden gems, little secrets, and the parts you’d never find on your own.
It’s the opportunity to meet safely with a local while traveling alone, which can be daunting, especially when you don’t speak the language and everything around you is unfamiliar. When you travel, it’s so nice to have someone by your side who gets you. Someone who makes you feel at ease, no matter where you are.
Greether lets you see the city through the eyes of someone who knows it best. You won’t just feel like a tourist. You’ll feel like you’re living the Parisian life — even if it’s just for a day.
And that feeling? It’s priceless!

One of my online English students encouraged me to check out Greether after getting to know me through our lessons. She felt my personality and the way I talk about my city would make me a great fit for something like this. Her kind words stayed with me, and I decided to learn more about the platform. I’ve always loved sharing Oaxaca with others, so becoming a Greeter felt like a natural next step.

What do you love most about showing women around your city?
What I love most about showing women around Oaxaca is creating a space where they can feel safe, curious, and inspired. Oaxaca is a city full of color, tradition, and warmth—and I enjoy helping others connect with that in a personal, meaningful way. Whether it’s sharing a quiet moment over local food, exploring hidden spots that aren’t in guidebooks, or simply walking and talking through the streets, I love watching women feel more confident and connected as they experience the heart of my city.
Favorite hidden gem in Oaxaca:
One of my favorite spots in Oaxaca is the garden at the Museo de la Filatelia. It’s a quiet, hidden space right in the heart of the city—perfect for relaxing, reading, or simply taking a break from the noise. I love bringing guests there because it’s so unexpected: you walk in for stamps, and discover peace.
Memorable moment with a traveler:
One memorable moment I had with a traveler was when I took her to try some local food at one of our traditional markets (20 de noviembre market). She was completely delighted by the flavors, the atmosphere, and the energy of the place. She thanked me so much for taking her somewhere she probably wouldn’t have found on her own. Moments like that remind me how special it is to share the real Oaxaca with others.

Tip for first-time visitors:
One tip I would give to women traveling to Oaxaca for the first time is to take your time exploring. Oaxaca isn’t a place to rush through —some of the most special experiences happen when you slow down, wander through a market, sit in a plaza, or talk with a local artisan. Stay open, stay curious, and trust that the city will reveal its magic to you little by little.
